of easter weekend, relatives, the fact that i can now touch my toes YAAY, insomnia and horny cats...
i can barely keep my eyes open, but it was interesting.
it all started on friday night, when uncle joe calls from amsterdam and says their plane had issues and wasn't able to take off. they were supposed to meet sunita in the airport, as her flight was supposed to arrive half an hour later than theirs, but they actually didnt get here till almost twenty-four hours later.
so anyway.
on saturday morning after sleeping late, i was woken up by an alarm i didnt set and horny cats. i get up to turn it off, leave the light on in the process, and crawl back into bed thinking my mum was gonna turn it off. a couple of minutes later, i realize that she isnt, and i have to get up again. the cats were wailing, and annoying the hell out of the dogs. i tell myself violence isn't really my kinda thing, and i try to make peace with the situation.
i give up and go to mum's room.
there, the birds are at it.
when you wake up to birds chirping, it's really pretty and beautiful and all that jazz...but when all you wanna do is get back to sleep, it's about the most annoying thing in the world. i then start sneezing cuz mum's room smells of lavender, which my nose evidently doesn't like very much.
i get up and make my way back to my room. the cats are stil at it, and after a while, i get up again.
this time, i walk downstairs, and stand in my kitchen, staring at the locked back-door and wondering what the hell i'm gonna do to shut the cats up.
my mind goes blank, and i walk back up the stairs. i stand in the hall.
on my left i hear the blasted birds who are dead set on waking up the entire world.
on my right i hear the blasted cats who are dead set on keeping the entire world up.
eventually, i settle for my room and fall asleep again.
i wake up and have breakfast with my jet-lagged cousin, whose sleepiness rubs off on me.
later after yoga, i made a discovery.
I CAN TOUCH MY TOES!!!
yes, this is a big deal, cuz before, i couldn't without bending my knees, and this really annoyed me. i was so happy, i could've told the whole world, really. =D
saturday night i watched a fabulous (i don't know how this is spelt and can't be bothered to look it up) episode of QE, gave up trying to read Queen of the Damned (i'll just get the movie), i listened to music, and still sleep eluded me for ages.
sunday i woke up to find another cousin sprawled on my couch with two pillows over his head - quite amusing, really =) , luggage all over my hall, an aunt fast asleep, and my fridge + freezer completely stuffed with everything from cheese to giant easter eggs to rösti to giant legs of lamb. sunday was easter, and we had lunch / a birthday party, then later the bunch of them left for china.
tomorrow is the simple plan concert YAAY i can't wait!!
i need to sleep now *yawns*
song for today - beauty under fire by natalie imbruglia. this song is amazing, and it's got a beautiful video too. i
haven't listened to it for ages and did today thank heaps priya =D
book for today - i just started reading 'love struck' by melanie la'brooy and seriously, it's making me laugh like
nobody's business!! i love it, and i've barely begun!

why i think the fates are against me...
i've been looking for a pair of sandals for a while. i needed to chuck my esarli heels, even though i love them...okay, more like i love the fact i got them for 20 bucks!! what a steal!!!
so anyway.
the other day i spent hours in one utama looking for shoes. found nothing. the one pair i slightly considered wearing - surprise of surprises, they didn't have my size.
today i went to midvalley, and spent just under three hours looking for the elusive pair of shoes that didn't have fluff, fungus (don't ask), ribbons, lips, hearts...i could go on, but then i would just seem extremely picky.
which i'm not. really!
i did manage to find maybe three pairs of shoes that were okay. and yeah, you guessed it.
"sorry miss, we only have the size 4" --- do i look like i could wear a FOUR? i'm no tiny person!!
"sorry miss, we only have the size 9" --- do i look like i could wear a NINE? i'm no huge person!!
i even went back to esarli and attempted to buy the same pair of shoes. and no, lol....they didnt have my size in case you were wondering...
i did, however, manage to buy two pairs of socks. whoop-de-bloody-doo.
the fates are against me, dontcha think?
no?
how's this.
we were supposed to go to new zealand, right? what i was looking forward to the most was jumping off a bridge that was over a river.
we didn't end up going to new zealand. we went back to europe instead.
no bungy jump.
we were supposed to go to singapore in december last year for the wedding anniversary of my aunty and uncle. one thing i really wanted to do? the reverse bungy jump.
we didn't end up going to singapore. my aunty (another one) couldn't bunny-sit charlie cuz they were going away that weekend, and my mum's car was acting up.
no bungy jump. or reverse bungy jump, rather.
then, we were supposed to go to phuket. this i couldnt wait for. i've been wanting to go to thailand for aaaages. i was looking forward to this HEAPS. one of the pros? they had a jungle bungy jump thingy.
we didn't end up going to phuket. two weeks before we were supposed to leave, the stupid mondo wave had to come and ruin everything and kill innocent people and...yeah.
no bungy jump.
somehow, i think that this is more than a freaky coincidence.
are they telling me i should just settle for sky-diving or white water rafting or something?
talk to me - clotho, lachesis, atropos. whatdya want???

of exams, shorts and elephants...
So anyway. My mid-terms are finally over, and as much as I wanna say that they don’t affect me the slightest bit, they do. And they did. My mum insists that I become a very crabby person when I have to spend a large part of the day cooped up in my room with an open textbook in front of me. And I can’t say she’s completely wrong either =p
I just remembered this and figured it should go in here:
Sunday night before my Social Psychology paper…
Me: Please tell me that Queer Eye last night was not a new episode, that
they’re repeating the season, and that Jai will be back, because even
though he is cute, Blair ain’t no Jai.
Ad: Yes lol he will be. He just leaves for two episodes or something…
Me: YAAAY!! The light at the end of my social psych tunnel =D
Okay that seemed a WHOLE lot funnier the other night…it’s not quite the same right now even though I dramatized it just a tad pfft.
So anyway.
The prawn story. *giggles*
We had gone to P.D. (which is a beach about an hour away, for the uninitiated) on one of the Chinese New Year days. To our great disappointment, the people (I’m sorry, but I have no idea who is in charge of these things) decided that it was a perfect day for a little bit of land reclamation. And where did the people decide to do this? RIGHT in front of my lil slice of…okay calling it paradise would be a very long shot, so forget about that. But it was right in front of the Yacht Club where we are sandwiched by the pool and the beach. Where we sit about all day and order endless rounds of Coke (90 sen for a WHOLE bottle!!), freshly squeezed juices and French fries, or whatever is the craving du jour.
My cousin Khanitha and I went for a little stroll to vent. After countless what-the-*beep*’s, we had made peace with the situation, and proceeded to go about with doing nothing. I read a book, spent some time in the sun, and then was rounded up for a little beach volleyball.
Or so we called it.
All I can say about that is we tried. We really did. Some people are just not meant for certain things. It was hilarious =)
P.D. is far from gorgeous. The water is murky, at its best. Visibility – let’s not even go there. I had no intention of submerging myself in the so-called sea, but I did, in the end. Cousins do that to you. Suddenly, you think to yourself, WAAAAIT a second I thought I wasn’t gonna do this! But there you are anyway, piggy-backing on one of them.
We were pretty far in, and messing about as usual.
Then suddenly, Jay says, “There’s something in my shorts”. Nobody really paid any attention. Meanwhile, he goes on to find out what exactly has invaded his shorts.
He thought it was a leaf.
He grabs it in his hand.
Now he’s not so sure it’s a leaf. He’s thinking it’s more like a stick.
His clenched fist emerges from the murky depths.
Slowly he unfurls his fingers in front of me.
And then I see a head. And legs.
What do I do?
I scream, of course!
He tosses it as far away as he can.
“Holy crap what the hell was that??!!”
“I think it was a prawn…”
Reduced to a fit of giggling, we both try to comprehend the fact that a PRAWN was in his SHORTS.
“That’s it, I’m getting outta here!”
I left the murky depths and headed for the shore.
Later, when telling my mum and yet another cousin about the rather adventurous – or misfortunate, depending on how you look at it – prawn, I was laughing so hard I didn’t know what I was saying!
So anyway.
A day or two later, we headed for the elephant sanctuary in Kuala Gandah. We had been there before, but it was like six years ago. The place is really different now, but what’s kinda. I don’t know. Interesting, is that the people who were there when we visited, the majority of them were not locals. I think we were the only ones. Some of the foreigners live here, and it was their sixth or seventh visit. I’d take a bet, that if I approach random Malaysians and ask them if they’ve heard of this place, they’d say no.
It’s an amazing experience, one that you don’t get to do even in Thailand, I’m told. You get to be so up-close to them, it’s unbelievable.
First, you get to feed them. They’re lead out [one actually walked out all by himself :) ]There’s about six of them, and they each have their own individual baskets of cut fruits, like papayas and watermelons. Most of them are partial to yam, though. So then you grab some fruit, and you just hold it out. Their trunks circle the crowd in front of them, looking for what they want. They’re kinda picky, actually =) Their trunks are like vacuum cleaners, it’s hilarious. It just makes you smile. Looking around, you see that everyone is smiling and having fun.
Then you get to ride them. Two elephants take visitors on a small round.
And then, they are taken to the little river, where people get on them to be thrown off.
I was standing in the shallow water, watching children squeal with pure, unadulterated delight as they ride the elephant a little further down the river, where it flips over to one side, throwing the kids off. They emerge, soaking wet with HUGE smiles on their faces.
What do I do?
I get in line, of course!
Getting on the elephant was hilarious, now that I think about it. It’s huge, and was sitting on one side, so when it got up, the three of us (my brother, me and another visitor) almost slid off, and you have to hang on like nobody’s business. I had cuts on my fingers from grabbing the rope. It’s just a tad uncomfortable if any part of your skin is exposed to the sandy elephant too! I was wearing three-quarter’s that I had rolled up some more, and later when I took my soggy clothes off, I found river sand in the folds!
And then the elephant walks…lumbers is more like it…down the river, and stops.
You go, uh-oh what the hell did I get myself into is it too late to get down I don’t wanna – and before you can finish that thought, you’re being thrown off an elephant.
For two seconds, you’re completely submerged in the river. It’s less that waist-deep, but when you’re thrown off, you go all the way to the bottom. And when you’re sitting behind someone, that someone lands on you, pushing you down more (it was my brother, in case you were wondering…).
And then you emerge. Soaking wet, with a huge smile on your face.
They only negative thing I have to say about this place is that their outdoor showers are a bloody mess, and need serious work.
I’m standing there, in next to nothing, and then I realize that my mum has accidentally took my jeans out of the bag of clothes when she brought it from the car.
What do I do?
I wrap two towels around my waist (one was too short, and the other was almost completely see-through!), and walk out of the showers, trying to ignore the strange looks from people wondering why I’m walking around in a towel (I had a t-shirt on, in case you were wondering…).
But anyway, it was a really cool experience, one that I’d definitely recommend. Plus, you get to play with a baby monkey rather strangely named Matthew, who belongs to the people who run a little café there. He’s adorable! The cheeky lil fella’s mum got shot or something, so the shop people are raising him. He has a penchant for sweet things, I gathered. I saw him lick icing sugar off a bowl. Then he hopped onto our table, stuck his fingers into my glass of lime juice (I had finished, in case you were wondering…) to get an ice-cube. He couldn’t, so he knocked it over, grabbed one, held it in his hands, and licked it. He’s adorable!!!
This is the website for the elephant sanctuary. I haven’t checked it out, so I can’t say anything about it.
http://www.myelephants.org
Getting there is a little tricky, but it’s worth it. They don’t have an entrance fee (quite silly if you ask me, cuz they get thousands of visitors a day!), they just ask that you donate before you leave.
So laters ;)
The book I was reading on the beach for the second time after a long wait was Bitten, by Kelley Armstrong. I definitely recommend it!
Song for today – You and Me by Lifehouse
Remember them?? I just heard this on the radio today, it’s an amazing song. Beautiful. Have a listen!

i'm still here.
i just have HEAPS of things to do right now. things that are a little more important than this, but nowhere near this fun :)
after all, the stories of the day a prawn crawled (swam?) up my cousin's shorts and how i got thrown off an elephant...and survived to tell the tale, must be told.
i'll be back.

my age, apparently...and the elimination of adonis
|
You Are 16 Years Old |
|
Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe. 13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world. 20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences. 30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more! 40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax. |
that's interesting. i can't say if it's true or not though, lol =)
on to more pressing matters...
The Elimination of Adonis
in case you've been living in the cave the past few weeks, i'm talking about Manhunt. yes the very cheesy reality tv show (yes, another one...) on Star World every tuesday at 10 pm. yes the one where they're looking for america's most gorgeous male model. yes the one where buff bods are on display through out the show. and yes - i know it's lame and degrading and all that jazz...but come on! i can certainly appreciate a fine specimen of the opposite sex, and i'm sure you can too. so shut up =)
just when i think the show isn't actually all that bad, the models open their mouths, and some of them really are bimboys (or himbos, whichever tickels your fancy...) !!! there certainly isn't any shortages of OHMYGOD moments, but some of them are so silly it's funny lol =)
remember when the had to have make-up on? and hunter was upset about wearing a kilt but his picture turned out amazing. he had the sultry, smouldering, yes-i'm-a-man-and-yes-i'm-wearing-a-kilt-that's-right-it's-a-KILT-not-a-skirt look down to perfection.
and then there was yesterday's episode, when they drenched him and his Levi's...'nuff said ;)
yes, hunter IS hot.
but he ain't no adonis.
they got rid of adonis.
i mean, hello! did you see the way his abs were yelling LOOK AT ME!! LOOK AT ME!! in the motorcycle ad? and last week, with the make-up. he's beautiful!
i am just completely jazzed that they got rid of smouldering adonis and kept someone like TATE. TATE! for crying out loud! and maurice? he can't hold a CANDLE to vin diesel. and they got rid of cutie matt too =/
the unfairness of it all.
and next week they wanna get rid of hawai'ian surfer boy jon =/
p.s. adonis is actually paulo. bruce hulse (and they call him a male model ewww...) called him adonis last week. from greek mythology, adonis was unearthly beautiful. and now his name is used as an allusion to an extremely attractive, youthful male.
songs for today - hear you me by jimmy eat world, and il est temps by kyo.
it's funny how these songs are exactly the opposite. aside from the obvious language differences, hear you me is a slow, soft, sad song. il est temps sounds like easy, happy kinda song, but it actually means waaaay more. "plus le temps passe et plus j'ai peur de perdre ma place au sein de ton cœur..."

is public speaking really as bad as i think it is? + me getting more flexible + running errands with headphones on, disconnected from the world.
so anyway. i think i'm okay with doing something about the whole thing. you know. as much as i want to ignore it and pretend everything is peachy, i can't. i just can't. grrrrr.....
so anyway.
friday was. lol...we had our public speaking(yuk) group presentation, and we were lucky enough to be assigned TWO whole chapters - ethics and diversity, and effective listening. the guy in our group whose laptop we were supposed to use, had technical issues happening with it. we didnt have time to rehearse at all. we had NO idea if our presentation was long enough, or too short, or if we were any good! it's a good thing another friend was around, and she had her laptop. we decided to borrow hers, but strangely enough, all we could get on screen was her desktop background (a picture of her dog). by then, the original laptop had been sorted, and in the end we used that one. it worked, and i thought our presentation went okay. then i found out our score - 9 outta 10!! i guess i'm doing better at public speaking (yuk) than i thought =D cheers, group members!
yoga on saturday was pretty damn cool. i did this thing i had no idea i could. i can't explain it lol it's too complicated. but lying down on my back, knees bent, feet on the floor. hands behind head, and you balance yourself on the crown of your head (yes it kinda does hurt when you have a hard floor under your mat), then i put my elbows on the floor! i was like WHOA! =D
and OH MY GOD i saw the end bit of shut up i was sooo mad i missed it but it's hot damn!
so anyway.
i was at my temp job, and i got send out to get marker pens and rubber bands, cuz we now have to change the date on like 10 000 books of coupons cuz some wiseass decided to change the date of the bazaar. i had my discman with me, and man, now i know why certain people always have headphones on. the music like. disconnects you from the world around you, sorta. you feel a million miles away. but, at the same time, it heightens your awareness. you're in a daze, almost. but you notice everything. it's funky. i like.
song for today - promise by simple plan
"and now you're just slipping away...without you it's just not quite the same..."
yada yada yada.

stupid computer bullshit.
in a perfect world.
i never could have seen this far
i never could have seen this coming
it seems like my world's falling apart
why is everything so hard
i don't think that i can deal
with the things you said
it just won't go away
in a perfect world
this could never happen
in a perfect world
you'd still be here
and it makes no sense
i can just pick up the pieces
but to you this means nothing
nothing at all
i used to think that i was strong
until the day it all went wrong
i think i need a miracle to make it through
i wish that i could bring you back
i wish that i could turn back time
cuz i can't let go
i just can't find my way
without you i just can't find my way
i don't know what i should do now
i don't know where i should go
i'm still here waiting for you
i'm lost when you're not around
i need to hold on to you
i just can't let you go
in a perfect world
this could never happen
in a perfect world
you'd still be here
and it makes no sense
i can just pick up the pieces
but to you this means nothing
nothing at all
you feel nothing
nothing at all

all i want is everything. and everything is you.
you tell yourself to be careful, not to get attached. not to get too involved.
cuz you know that what is yours now may not be yours forever.
cuz you know someday the small steps away from you will become one big step.
but you do it anyway. you can't help yourself. you almost jump into it with reckless abandon. and you enjoy every single moment. okay, maybe not every single moment. but you know, deep down inside, that if you were given a chance to go back and not do it, you wouldnt. you wouldnt change the fact that you got involved. you know that you're that much...richer, in a sense because of what you've been through. because of what you have. or had, depending on how you look at it.
and then, once in a while, when the going gets tough, you tell yourself, see this is why you shouldnt have done this. you tell yourself that this is it. you get mad because you worry about them, and it seems to be for no reason. you get mad because you care so damn much and you can't help it.
you fight for it.
and then somehow, stuff works out. somehow, things arent as bad as they seemed. besides, you know that no matter what you do, you cant stay mad at someone who makes you laugh. somehow, things work themselves out. you're cut, but you just can't help but fall again, with as much, sometimes even more reckless abandon. you think to yourself, i'm setting myself up for more hurt, and more heartache.
but you can't help it.
you remember the good times. you remember the perfect times.
the times you laughed so much it hurts.
the time a simple text message made you feel impossibly safe and protected.
the time you smiled beacuse of two little words.
the time you went to bed and got up with them on your mind.
the innocent teasing.
the promises.
the plans.
you convince yourself that in some crazy way, it's all worth it.
and you know what, it really, truly is. that, i can promise you.
so you go with it. and you enjoy the ups. you hate the downs. but you don't really care about that cuz when you're in the up zone, the downs seem so distant.
so false.
you question if you really felt that way, if you really felt like you wanted out. you think that's crazy and you can't imagine ever wanting out of something like this.
you're caught up in the moment.
you wish this would last forever. and if this was forever, you know you'd be the most content person to have ever lived.
and then it all comes crashing down.
well, okay, maybe it didnt come all crashing down.
but the thing you knew was gonna happen eventually, happens.
you think to yourself - i knew this was bound to happen. i should be okay with it.
but you can't understand why you're not okay with it. why you're so. crushed.
dammit. you got too attached. ooops.
admitting it doesnt make it hurt any less, though.
you picture what you know happened in your head, and you get this really strange feeling in your gut. you guess that's what people mean when they say they felt their hearts sink.
you tell yourself you will be okay. and that really, you feel happy that you had that experience. and that you're happy for them because they're happy. and if there's anyone who deserves to be happy, it's them.
you tell yourself all these things, but you still feel like your heart is somewhere in the region of your ankles.
you tell yourself, once again, you'll be okay.
but deep down inside, you don't know that. you don't know that you'll be okay.
when something is yours for so long, and then it suddenly isn't anymore, you can't possibly just get up the next day and be okay with that.
so what do you do now, you ask yourself. do you let go? you can't even begin to imagine letting go.
do you take a step back? but because the lines were so blurred to begin with, you dont know where you stand now.
a little bit of you doesnt even wanna go there and find out. you don't want to bring it up, almost. because that will mean acknowledging its existence. yet you know you have to. which makes it even more confusing.
you know it's there, but you dont want to.
you think to yourself, it's for the best. but the best for who?
but most importantly, you know that you're a much better person. a stronger person. because it happened.
and for that, you're thankful.
you tell yourself that you'll be okay.
because you have to be.

comment apprécier la vie quand c'est toi qui me manques?
i had my hair cut yesterday morning, after like about 9 months. it wasnt heaps long, and now it isnt heaps short either. it's just layered in places and stuff. the last time i had it cut was before we went to switzerland cuz i didnt want the hassle of having to wash my then kinda long hair every other day when it was all cold and things. then i didnt get it cut cuz my cousin's wedding was coming up, and long hair is easier to deal with. then i didnt get it cut because we were going to phuket and i wanted to get it braided and have really long braids and things. then the damn tsunami had to hit, and we cancelled out trip.
it still kinda freaks me out a little. i mean, if nothing had happened on the 26th, we woulda left for phuket today morning. i'd be there right now. tonight we would have been staying in a hotel that's RIGHT on patong beach. anything could have happened. it could have been tomorrow morning instead of last month.
i feel the saddest for the tourists who went on holiday and never came back. or came back in a box. or in pieces. or came back without a child, or without a parent. a member of their family gone forever. how do you even begin to deal with something like that?? it's incomprehensible. i wouldnt wish that on a person i hate with everything i have, even.
okay i can't think about this anymore.

my first speech!! ...for the class, anyway =p
on the way back from college, i swung by the bookshop of Universiti Malaya, as recommended by Sulay to look for my Intercultural textbook. i had NO idea the place was so massive! i mean, seriously! there were SO many cars in there! on a late friday afternoon, too! it's HUGE they've got like a million departments for what seemed like everything on earth. finding the bookshop wasnt so difficult, but when the guard explained the location to me in malay, it took a few seconds to register what he was actually saying! i guess it's true then, what they say - use it or loose it. i cant remember the last time i had to speak or understand malay! =/
the bookshop was. interesting. they have SO many books, it's amazing they even know where anything is! i didnt have any course outlines with me, so i had to get the names and titles of the books i was looking for via sms (thanks again, guys!), and when they finally found what i was looking for on their computer, they couldnt find it on the shelves! they were supposed to have like TWENTY copies but they couldnt find a single one. and get this - they're selling the book for 28.80, and the guy who's selling the books in college is selling it for 55.00!!! jezuz! now im waiting to hear from mph if they have the books. damn it's never been this annoying to get textbooks...
i have a yoga class in a bit and i have to write a paper about how my culture affects the way i communicate, or something like that.
so, laters!

intercultural communications...
Yesterday was a good day. I don’t usually log day events like this, so you could probably tell it was a good day =)
Today I have my Icebreaker Speech to look forward to (woohoo.), and that’s later. I’ve been awake for…okay not very long, and I’ve gotta rehearse the damn speech, and I’ve got nothing else to say for now, so laters =)
Oh and I realized. This really can’t be like a real journal, cuz you really don’t know who might actually read it. You can’t be telling everyone everything can you? Even if you want to even change everyone’s names and things, stuff might be obvious to some people, you know? I guess that means no deepest, darkest secrets and things ;) sorry!

the first one.
i was actually thinking about importing my posts and chucking them in here, but i decided against it. this is the link: http://nameeta.multiply.com
i wanted to know why millions of people have blogs. okay fine maybe not millions, but it seems like every other tom, dick or poof has one. what sort of allure does letting the world read your thoughts have?
maybe it's just cathartic.
in any case. i jumped onto the blog bandwagon with multiply. cautiously, of course.
i have the whole house to myself right now. it's very very strange, cuz im so used to having an annoying 12 year old prat to boss around. he's in school now, and it's quite amusing actually. sometimes i find it hard to believe that was me just over a year ago, in a uniform and everything. which i must admit, i do miss sometimes.
can i just say it's also freaking humid right now?
something else i've been noticing lately is GET THIS - cars!! i blame need for speed undergorund 2 and my brother. the other day i was going for a movie, and this bright shiny red celica drove up right next to us, and i was like OMG =O it had this massive spoiler and decals and things and...you see what i mean?
it's week two of spring semester 2005, and i've JUST sorted out my subjects and things. it has never taken this long. i blame the department, really. it all started with the foreign lecturer whose visa didnt get approved so he couldnt come here in time to teach intercultural communication. then ad and i decided to take intro to design. of course, all the labs were full by then. we were put on a special waiting list, but by the end of the add/drop period, no one had dropped out. we went through the list, seeing if there was anyone we could convince to drop design. we were that desperate! this was on friday.
on monday when we checked, FOUR people had dropped out of group A alone! so we dropped intercultural, got into design. went for a class. then yesterday, my lecturer who was supposed to have left to get his Ph.D calls me and says intercultural is open again, and i'm teaching it. what did we do? drop design and add intercultural.
it's actually pretty hilarious when you think about it.
i think i'll go race some cars or something.
